Ayodhya Verdict - Discussion

8 year old boy, 5 year old girl having lunch togther at home, because they got off early from school as the SC was to give the verdict on Ayodhya.

Girl: Anna, yaako raja kotru schoolge ivatthu? (Brother, why did they give us holiday at school today?)

Boy: Ivatthu Ayodhya bagge helthaare anthe court nalli, adakke (they will tell about Ayodhya at court itseems)

Girl: andre? (what?)

Boy: Hindusu muslimsu jagala adthaa iddare alva, adakke decision kodthaare kane (both hindus and muslims are fighting and they would decide on that)

Girl: yenoo, artha agtha illa (what is it, I dont understand)

Boy: chinna, noodu, eega nin hathra ondhu pencil iratthe, adhe pencil nin akka nu beku anthaale, ibbaru jagala adtha irtheera, aaga nim amma bandhu yaarige pencil kodbeku antha decide madtharalva haage (see, you have a pencil, your sister also want the same pencil, then how your mother will decide on who should get the pencil, like that)

the boy continues

Boy: noodu, neenu musllimsu andhuko, akka hindus and nim amma supreme court aste (think, you are muslims, your sister is hindus and your mother is supreme court)

Girl: oh Haage (oh!) and she smiles with the enlightenment she has just had...........

This is the conversation between two kids and they happen to be my nephew and my neice. Brilliant they were and I was surprised, but the killer one was when girl at the end said....

Girl: Shabaash anna (good job bro)

I went ROFL

:) This was a nice take on the Ayodhya issue. Kids these days are really smart. And the holiday being announced and then cancelled had so much of impact on the little kids, what with their exams being suddenly cancelled.. which made them happy, not for long though, as the court decided to defer the verdict, and the kids had to come out of their state of bliss to break their heads over meaningless text to write their exam papers within a short notice.
